The Welding Technology and Planning, Production Processes & Facilities (PPPF) Panels will hold a joint panel meeting at Oak Ridge National Lab in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on August 1-2. This will also include a tour of the facility.

The registration for this meeting closes this Friday, 7/21/2023.  If you haven’t registered, please go to the register as soon as possible.*  Registration is essential to allow time for ORNL to process badges for folks to enter their facility.

Please note this meeting is two full days.  The afternoon of the second day, August 2, has been set aside for a “NAVSEA and Shipyard Working Group” meeting.  The NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders have requested input from the shipyards on ways they can help improve cost and schedule performance.  This could include, but is not limited to project ideas as well as specification changes.  NAVSEA is genuinely leaning in and wanting to help.  This is our opportunity to provide industry input and perspective.  We are excited to work collaboratively with NAVSEA to tackle the challenges and issues we face, while also maintaining a high standard of technical excellence.  This workshop is open to anyone who wants to attend, but we particularly want to encourage strong shipyard participation.

While not a part of the normal panel meeting, there is an opportunity for a tour of Robot Technologies of Tennessee (RTT) on Thursday, August 3.  More information can be found in the below flyer.
